Ample Sound Ample Slide Lapsteel is a sampled lap steel guitar instrument for producers who want expressive slides, sustained melodies and detailed guitar parts without recording a physical instrument. Its sound comes from a 1970s Jedson lap steel, a David Gilmour custom model fitted with a single EMG pickup.
The instrument combines recorded samples with a slide algorithm, supporting legato movement across different intervals and lengths, including polyphonic passages. Articulations include sustain, slide-in and slide-out gestures, natural harmonics, vibrato, buzzing and glissando. Stereo and mono modes provide additional flexibility when arranging parts.
For shaping the tone, six amp models pair with seven cabinets and eight microphone choices per cabinet. An eight-band EQ, compressor, six-tap echo and convolution reverb cover further processing inside the instrument.
The built-in Riffer supports sequences up to 64 measures, with editing for pitch, velocity, articulation, legato, vibrato and bends. It suits hobby producers building melodic arrangements in compatible Windows hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live. Windows support is 64-bit only, with VST2 and VST3 formats listed.
