Ample Slide Lapsteel is a virtual instrument built from recordings of a 1970s Jedson lap steel guitar, specifically the David Gilmour custom model with a single EMG pickup. It delivers nine articulations, including sustain, legato slides, slide in/out, quarter slides, natural harmonics, legato vibrato, buzzing, and glissando. The legato slide system blends a virtual slide algorithm with real samples, so slides of any length or interval sound natural, even with polyphonic notes. You also get a built-in amp simulator with six classic amp models (based on Mesa Boogie, Marshall, Roland, and Fender designs) and seven cabinets, each with eight microphone options. The Riffer and String Roll Editor let you program detailed riffs and licks, while the FX section includes an 8-band EQ, compressor, 6-tap echo, and IR reverb. It runs as VST2, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone on Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit) and Mac OS 10.9 or higher. This is ideal for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want authentic slide guitar sounds without recording a real lap steel.
