Analog Obsession BXQ v4.1 is a free Baxandall EQ plugin for producers who want controlled bass and treble adjustments with flexible stereo processing. It suits hobby musicians shaping individual tracks, buses or full mixes, with Left/Right and Mid/Side modes for working on either stereo channels or the centre and sides of a mix.
The low band offers eight frequency choices from 40 Hz to 1.2 kHz, while the high band provides eight settings between 3 and 18 kHz. Both bands allow up to 5 dB of boost or cut in 0.5 dB increments. Switchable low-cut and high-cut filters handle the frequency extremes, and output adjustment spans ±5 dB. Oversampling is accessible through the Analog Obsession label, and version 4.1 adds a Link feature.
Windows formats include VST and VST3, suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live; the Mac version also includes AU. One practical caution: the right-channel knobs may load at their minimum positions. Load your DAW’s default preset or double-click those knobs to reset them before making adjustments.
