Analog Obsession G395a is a free three-band EQ plugin inspired by an early-1970s discrete Class A design. It combines straightforward tone controls with modeled input and output transformers, making it a useful option for hobby producers who prefer broad tonal adjustments over detailed corrective equalization.

The low band is fixed at 60 Hz and the high band at 10 kHz, each offering up to 15 dB of boost or cut in 3 dB increments. The midrange provides five selectable frequencies—700 Hz, 1 kHz, 1.4 kHz, 2 kHz and 3 kHz—with boost settings from 0 to 8 dB in 2 dB steps. These stepped controls keep decisions focused when shaping bass weight, presence or top-end balance.

Automatic gain compensation helps limit level changes during EQ adjustments, while switchable oversampling offers smoother processing. Click the Analog Obsession logo to enable oversampling, or use the bottom-right plugin label to bypass the effect.

Windows VST and VST3 support makes G395a suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live. Note that the supplied documentation lists the filename as “GGGGa” and the DAW display name as “G305a.”
