Analog Obsession G395a v2.0 is a free three-band EQ plugin inspired by an early-1970s discrete Class A design. It combines stepped tone controls with modeled input and output transformers, giving hobby producers a straightforward way to explore vintage-style equalization on individual tracks or buses.
The low band operates at 60 Hz and the high band at 10 kHz, each offering up to 15 dB of boost or cut in 3 dB increments. The mid band selects between 700 Hz, 1 kHz, 1.4 kHz, 2 kHz and 3 kHz, with boost settings from 0 to 8 dB in 2 dB steps. These limited, deliberate choices suit producers who prefer quick tonal adjustments over detailed surgical correction.
Automatic gain compensation helps manage level changes while you adjust the EQ, and switchable oversampling provides smoother processing. The interface supports touchscreens and scales from 50% to 200%, with a clickable bypass control for comparisons.
On Windows 10–11, G395a is available in VST3 and AAX formats and requires OpenGL-compatible graphics. The VST3 version suits compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
