Analog Obsession MPReq v4.0 is a free preamp and EQ effect inspired by microphone preamplifiers and program equalizers from the 1960s. It combines adjustable preamp gain with a simple Pultec-style, two-band equalizer, giving hobby producers a compact way to explore vintage-style signal processing without a large set of controls.

The preamp section offers 20–70 dB of gain. An ATTEN output control sits after the equalizer, allowing you to adjust the final level once your gain and EQ settings are in place. For sessions where you want oversampling, clicking the ANALOG OBSESSION label enables 4x processing; the label turns red to show that it is active.
