Analog Obsession MPReq v5.0 combines a vintage-style microphone preamp with a two-band program equalizer inspired by 1960s hardware. It is an effect for hobby producers who want preamp coloration and straightforward tonal shaping without a large set of controls.

The preamp offers 20–70 dB of gain, while the Pultec-style EQ provides two fixed-frequency bands. An output attenuator sits after the equalizer, letting you adjust the final level after making gain and EQ changes. For additional processing quality, click the Analog Obsession label to enable 4x oversampling; the label turns red when active.

The interface scales from 50% to 200% using its lower-right resize handle. Saving a resized instance as your DAW’s default preset lets future instances open at your preferred size.

This free Windows plugin supports Windows 10–11 in VST3 and AAX formats, making it suitable for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live. A graphics card with OpenGL support is required.
