Analog Obsession MuChild v1.0 VST3 AU AAX WiN MAC

MuChild is a free VST3, AU and AAX plugin that recreates the classic Fairchild 660 vari-mu compressor sound for Windows and Mac. It gives you the smooth, musical compression that vintage Fairchild units are known for, plus a few modern extras that make it easier to fit into your mixes. The Input and Threshold knobs work together to dial in anything from gentle leveling to heavily saturated compression, while the Time Constant control sets attack and release. A side-chain high-pass filter up to 1 kHz helps keep low-end from triggering the compressor, and the DC control adjusts ratio and knee. You also get external side-chain support and a wet/dry Mix knob for parallel compression without extra routing. With its lightweight anti-aliasing and no oversampling, MuChild keeps CPU use low. It’s aimed at hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton Live or Logic who want a characterful vintage-style compressor for vocals, drums, bass or full mixes without spending anything.
