Analog Obsession OAQ v5.0 is a free six-band EQ for producers who want to shape mixes and masters with stepped frequency choices rather than continuously variable controls. Its dual-mono, stereo and mid-side processing options let you adjust channels independently, work on the stereo signal, or treat the centre and sides separately.
Each band offers up to 18 dB of boost or cut. Frequency selections span 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with two bands each for lows, mids and highs. A low-cut filter around 50 Hz helps reduce unwanted low-end content, while the Drive control adds saturation with a range of 0–24 dB. Set Drive to zero for operation without saturation.
Channel linking makes coordinated adjustments easier. Optional 4x oversampling is activated by clicking the Analog Obsession label and only takes effect when Drive is enabled. The interface scales from 50% to 200% for different screen setups.
For Windows users, OAQ supports Windows 10–11 in VST3 and AAX formats and requires OpenGL-compatible graphics. It suits hobby producers using compatible hosts such as FL Studio or Ableton Live.
