Analog Obsession TRAX is a free transient designer for producers who want to reshape the impact and decay of their audio with a straightforward set of controls. It is useful for hobby musicians working on drums, percussion, and other sounds where the balance between the initial hit and the trailing body matters.
The Attack control boosts or reduces the beginning of a transient, letting you bring out a sharper hit or soften an overly prominent onset. Sustain adjusts the tail, helping you emphasize a sound’s decay or pull it back for a tighter feel. A clean output control provides ±15 dB of level adjustment, so you can compensate for changes in volume after shaping the sound. Clicking the Analog Obsession label switches on 4x oversampling.
Version 1.1 fixes a noise-burst issue associated with Sustain. TRAX is available in VST and VST3 formats for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, with VST, VST3, and AU versions for macOS 10.9–12.x. That makes it an option for compatible FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro setups, with Logic requiring macOS.
