Anima

Anima by Sequins turns everyday recordings into playable instruments. Drop in rain, traffic, or kitchen clatter, and eight resonant harmonic filters extract pitched tones from the noise. Each harmonic can be panned, muted, or soloed, so you shape the texture into chords and melodies. Eight materials—String, Membrane, Bar, Plate, Bell, and three Noise types—use acoustic ratios or vocoder-style shaping to create anything from shimmering pads to percussive hats. The Life knob adds independent drift per harmonic, making held notes breathe and wander. Transient snap aligns loops to detected hits, while MPE support and 72 scale modes keep performances expressive. Dual sample slots let you blend two recordings with separate filter banks, and live capture records straight from your DAW. Ideal for producers who love found sound and want to embed personal moments into their music.
