Soundiron Apocalypse Percussion Micro is a compact cinematic percussion library for producers who want powerful ensemble drums without an overwhelming setup. Its 28 articulations cover concert snares, large toms, bass drums, Indian dhols, Turkish doumbeks, and frame percussion. Recorded with groups of three to six players in a bright hall, the sounds combine weighty attacks with open, natural ambience—ideal for trailer cues, game scores, dramatic electronic tracks, and orchestral sketches. Multiple velocity layers and round-robin variations add movement to repeated hits. Inside Kontakt, you can build custom eight-slot kits, create rhythmic patterns with the arpeggiator, shape envelopes, and process sounds through a DSP effects rack with convolution reverb. A dual-layer tuned preset also turns percussion into playable pitched textures. The presets require the full version of Kontakt 5.5.2 or later; nearly 400 WAV samples can also be used in compatible software.
