Apulsoft splitS is a vocal editing tool that separates a track into sibilance and non-sibilance components, giving you direct control over harsh ‘s’ and ‘sh’ sounds without traditional de-essing. Instead of compressing or EQing the whole signal, splitS uses spectral brightness, level, and pitch detection to split the audio into two full-range channels. This means you can adjust the volume of sibilant parts independently while the rest of the vocal remains untouched. The plugin includes a scrolling waveform display for real-time visual feedback, and the S-Range feature lets you set maximum and minimum levels for sibilance events—so you can cap loud peaks or exclude softer ones. With zero signal degradation when no gain change is applied, splitS preserves the original integrity of your recording. It’s aimed at hobby producers and engineers who want to speed up vocal editing in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and other DAWs.
