Arthelion MOLOSS II is a free, open-source synthesizer for Windows, offered as a VST plugin and a standalone application in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. It is aimed at hobby producers and sound-design enthusiasts who want to build vintage-style electronic tones using synthesis approaches associated with the 1980s.
Its four synthesis voices combine subtractive and additive methods with phase modulation and cross modulation. This gives you several ways to shape a patch rather than relying on a single synthesis technique, while keeping CPU demands modest. The default 64-note polyphony supports chord playing, and two monophonic solo modes provide alternatives for single-note parts.
Many parameters respond to controller modulation, making MOLOSS II useful for expressive playing and hands-on sound changes. Built-in, file-based preset management lets you store and organize your patches. Version II also includes stability fixes and a redesigned interface by Lozzec, with improved usability. It suits Windows-based FL Studio and Ableton Live setups that support the supplied VST format and architecture, or standalone use without a DAW.
