Ashen Scoring Cello

Ashen Scoring Cello by Wavelet Audio is a solo cello instrument library for expressive melodies, uneasy textures, and intimate cinematic arrangements. Its sound spans delicate, hushed passages and abrasive gestures, making it a strong fit for minimal post-classical pieces, dark ambient tracks, trailers, and horror scores. Alongside sustained legato and pizzicato, you’ll find credit-card strumming, biting sul ponticello, and percussion played on the cello body. Samples drawn from real performances capture natural movement, with up to eight round robins and four dynamic layers adding variation. Short articulations use repetition sampling to preserve rhythmic energy and focused attacks. The Performance Designer lets you combine melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and percussive material to build accompanying textures or patterns. Designed with film composers in mind, it also suits producers seeking a distinctive acoustic voice for experimental productions.
