Audio Damage Phosphor v1.2.0 is an additive synthesizer inspired by the alphaSyntauri, an early digital instrument originally powered by an Apple IIe. It brings that approach to software for hobby producers and sound designers interested in vintage digital tones and hands-on harmonic shaping.
Two additive oscillators provide 16 partials each, with separate amplitude envelopes for shaping how each layer develops. Switch the partials between a lower-resolution vintage mode and a modern mode with alias-free sine waves. The noise generator also offers a choice between old-school digital shift-register noise and white noise.
For movement and expression, Phosphor includes velocity control, flexible modulation routing, two tempo-syncable LFOs, and two monophonic modes. A pair of delay sections adds space and rhythmic detail, with low-pass and high-pass filtering plus cross-feedback. Full MIDI Learn makes assigning hardware controls straightforward, while 80 included presets offer starting points for exploring additive synthesis.
This listing is for the Windows version. Check the supplied plugin format against your DAW before purchase or installation, as AU is not a Windows-compatible format.
