Audiority L12X is a free guitar amp simulation plugin built around the character of the late-1980s Marshall Lead 12 solid-state head. It recreates the op-amp circuit’s approach to gain and clipping, giving home-recording guitarists and hobby producers a way to shape clean and driven guitar tones inside their DAW.

Alongside the standard solid-state model, L12X offers Clean and Metal tube amplifier models. Two channels, Clean and Boost, let you switch between cleaner sounds and added drive, while a three-band tone stack handles basic tonal balance. The Contour control provides a more scooped voicing, and the additional Boost overdrive stage expands the available gain.

An integrated cabinet simulator includes a Marshall cabinet impulse response with Celestion V30 speakers, supplied by Seacow Cabs. This lets you build an amp-and-cab sound without adding a separate cabinet plugin. A resizable interface helps it fit your workspace, and the included standalone version lets you use it outside a DAW. L12X is a practical choice for exploring guitar amp tones in Windows setups using FL Studio or Ableton Live.
