Aurally Sound Prism is an audio-to-MIDI utility for Windows producers, musicians, and transcribers who want to turn instrumental recordings into editable notes. It handles both single-note melodies and chords, translating pitch, timing, and dynamics into MIDI for further arrangement or analysis.

Designed around solo instrument recordings, Prism supports material such as acoustic and electric guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, horns, and violin. A general-purpose conversion algorithm covers most instruments, while dedicated options focus on solo acoustic piano and distorted guitar. Its note tracking is designed to follow quick passages as well as slower performances.

The integrated MIDI editor lets you adjust conversion settings and inspect the resulting notes without repeatedly moving between Prism and your DAW. A built-in piano sampler provides a straightforward way to audition the transcription, while the spectrogram offers a closer look at pitch details such as bends and vibrato.

Available in VST3 format, Prism also offers ARA integration in compatible hosts to avoid real-time audio capture. It suits hobby producers extracting musical ideas from recordings or preparing instrumental parts for editing.
