Aurora DSP Dead Kitty is a guitar amp simulation for players and producers who want British-style high-gain sounds with a more contemporary edge. Designed to handle low-tuned guitars, it suits heavy rhythm parts, lead work, and home-recorded riffs. Separate clean and lead channels give you a choice of starting points without limiting every part to distortion.
The Kitty Skull gain control sets the drive level, while a three-band tone stack and Air knob let you shape the overall response. Two included impulse responses offer different tonal characters, giving you another way to adjust the sound alongside the amp controls.
Developed with Ksantyp from the Polish guitar YouTube channel FOG, Dead Kitty also includes a metronome for practice and riff recording for saving ideas before they disappear. This Windows release supports 64-bit VST3 and AAX formats, plus standalone use. It fits VST3-based workflows in FL Studio and Ableton Live, or works outside a DAW when you simply want to play and capture a guitar idea.
