Avid Media Composer 2023.3-V.R

Avid Media Composer 2023.3 is standalone video editing software for Windows, not a VST audio plugin. It is built for editors working on film, television, broadcast, and streaming projects, and suits music producers who also edit music videos or other picture-led content.

Its media management tools help organize large projects containing footage from different sources. Support for high-resolution workflows up to 8K and beyond lets editors work with detailed source material, while native format support, including OP1a, reduces the need to transcode before editing. A live timeline allows sequence adjustments during playback.

Background processing handles tasks such as transcoding, rendering, consolidating, and relinking media so editing can continue. Automated bin saving and audio/video synchronization also help reduce repetitive work. For HDR projects, Media Composer includes ACES color space support and a 32-bit floating-point color pipeline.

Audio recording, editing, and mixing tools support sound work alongside the picture edit. For producers using FL Studio or Ableton Live, Media Composer serves as a separate video post-production application rather than an effect or instrument loaded inside a DAW.
