Bamblong

Bamblong by Soundiron is a Kontakt library featuring a hand-crafted bamboo idiophone from Southeast Asia, similar to a marimba or angklung. Each tuned bamboo log acts as a resonance chamber, with a thin bamboo plank as the playing surface. Struck with recycled rubber bicycle tire mallets, it produces a smooth, mellow yet crisp tone with quick decay. Recorded close and dry for warmth and flexibility, it also includes a bright, organic ‘wet’ version captured in a large glass and stone hall. Deep-sampled with up to 24 velocity layers and 10 round-robin variations per note, plus nylon jazz brush strikes and rolls for a raspy texture. Hand-tuned across four octaves, with micro-tuning and stereo width controls. Ideal for hobby producers seeking organic mallet percussion for melodic lines, textures, or symphonic blends in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
