Bertom EQ Curve Analyzer is a free audio analysis utility that reveals how plugins or hardware change a signal’s frequency and phase response. It is useful for hobby producers who want to understand their EQ choices, compare processors, or explore the behaviour of classic EQ emulations rather than judge them by their controls alone.

The workflow uses two instances of the plugin. Place one before the effect or chain you want to examine and switch it to signal-generator mode. Put the other instance after the chain to analyse the result, then adjust the latency setting if required. This arrangement lets you inspect the response of several effects together as well as individual processors.

A grouping system allows two analyses to be compared in real time, making it easier to study differences between settings or processing chains. Originally built as a developer tool, EQ Curve Analyzer offers a simplified setup for everyday investigation. Version 1.3.3 is a practical Windows utility for producers interested in what their audio processors actually do.
