BFD Heavy is a drum expansion for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2, built around detailed recordings of Yamaha Recording Custom and Birch Custom Absolute kits. Aimed at producers shaping hard rock and metal tracks, it pairs birch drums with presets tailored to those styles. The collection includes three kicks with felt and wood beater options, plus nine toms for building varied fills and kit layouts. Five toms offer both stick and mallet performances, while tom rim shots and rim clicks add expressive alternatives. A bonus, reduced-detail Yamaha Jimmy Chamberlin steel-shell snare brings stick and mallet options, strainer-on/off variations and half-edge samples.
