BlackAsh SC-5

The BlackAsh SC-5 by Black Rooster Audio is a meticulous emulation of a sought-after 1980s American VCA compressor, specifically the ‘black’ variant. This plugin delivers versatile dynamics control, from subtle, sweetening compression on your master bus to aggressive, colorful smashing on drum buses. Its unique feedback design and darker harmonic character give it a distinct sonic signature. The SC-5 excels at taming lively, dynamic material, making it ideal for hobby producers working in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic. Key features include an external sidechain input for creative ducking, auto gain compensation for effortless level matching, and authentic circuit modeling that captures every nuance of the original hardware. With SSE2 optimized code and auto-adjusted oversampling, it offers transparent, low-latency performance. Whether you’re mixing or mastering, the BlackAsh SC-5 adds analog warmth and control to your productions.
