Blade 2

Rob Papen Blade 2 is a 16-voice synthesizer for producers who enjoy building sounds beyond familiar subtractive synthesis. Its Harmolator engine puts waveform harmonics under XY-pad control, with movements you can record, edit and play back in sync with your track. Switch to Additive mode to mix or morph between four additive waveforms, including ones you create yourself. A dedicated analysis section turns sample data into waveforms for either engine, opening up fresh starting points for experimental patches. An analogue-style oscillator, noise oscillator and 32 filter types add further shaping options, while three Multi-FX processors provide finishing touches. For animated sequences, the arpeggiator offers XY-position control and multiple ratcheting modes.
