Blue Cat’s Flanger

Blue Cat’s Flanger by Blue Cat Audio brings vintage flanging to drums, vocals, synths and guitars, with a range that stretches from gentle movement to sharp metallic sweeps and otherworldly voice effects. Its straightforward interface suits producers who want quick results without giving up sound-shaping options. Choose sine or triangle LFO shapes and experiment with in-phase or out-of-phase feedforward and feedback paths to explore softer textures or more aggressive coloration. In the stereo version, the Spread control expands the motion across the stereo field for a wider, more immersive effect. MIDI Learn and automation support make it easy to build evolving sweeps, while smooth parameter changes and noiseless bypass help keep transitions clean. An integrated preset manager and undo/redo support experimentation, and processing automatically winds down when the input is silent to conserve CPU resources.
