Bontabulous Fabtraption

Soundiron Bontabulous Fabtraption brings the character of the late-1970s Bontempi HP 544-20 into a Kontakt instrument library. Its sampled palette spans sustained synth tones, staccatos, piano, violin and the keyboard’s distinctive Magic Chords, captured through wide-stereo recordings and direct input. You also get 34 tempo-syncable drum machine loops and 20 evolving atmospheric pads derived from the original sounds. It’s a useful starting point for retro electronic tracks, quirky pop arrangements and nostalgic soundtrack textures. Shape patches with envelope controls, vibrato, octave layering and glide for legato or portamento leads. An adaptable LFO, selectable filters and a customizable arpeggiator add movement, while key and scale locking helps keep melodic ideas on track. For hobby producers and composers using Kontakt, this library offers vintage Italian keyboard flavor with plenty of room for sound design.
