British Channel

The British Channel is a channel strip plugin modeled after a legendary large-format British mixing console that has shaped countless hit records since the 1980s. It faithfully recreates the console’s signal path, delivering the precise, forward sound that made it a studio staple. You get authentic EQ and dynamics in one self-contained tool, with selectable black or brown EQ modes for two distinct tonal characters: black offers more gain and sharper Qs for a pronounced effect, while brown provides a smoother response. Added input and output level controls let you drive the compressor from subtle compression to heavy squash, adding analog saturation when pushed. A flexible filter section works standalone or in sidechain mode. Versatile enough for kick, snare, toms, overheads, bass, guitars, and more, the British Channel is an ideal go-to for hobby producers seeking classic console tone and flexibility in a single plugin.
