Bus Clipper by Slate Digital is a two-stage mastering plugin that helps you squeeze more level from your mix without nasty artifacts. Stage one clips only the highest peaks sample-by-sample, leaving everything below the ceiling untouched and freeing up headroom. Three clipping modes with a Shape/Harmonics knob let you dial in hard clipping, gentle saturation, or precise harmonic generation. Stage two uses waveshaping to lift quieter parts and boost perceived loudness without raising peak levels, avoiding the intermodulation artifacts of time-based limiting. Three booster modes (Mellow, Standard, Aggressive) and a real-time transfer function display give you full control. Smart oversampling delivers clean results at 16x where other clippers need 256x, saving CPU. Built for mastering but equally at home on drum buses, snare tracks, or any source needing transient control. Pair it with Infinity EQ 2, FG-X 2, and Virtual Tape Machines for a complete chain.
