Cajongo

Cajongo from Sounds of the Earth captures a unique hybrid percussion instrument that blends the bongó with the Peruvian cajón. Lighter than traditional bongos and more portable than a cajón, this wooden-headed drum is played with the hands while held between the legs, its sound resonating through a hollow bottom. The sample library delivers three distinct notes: a female section for lower tones, a male section for higher pitches, and a middle section mirroring the bridge area of bongos. With 57 audio files and 884 Kontakt samples across 8 mic options, you get rich, expressive percussion for Latin, world, acoustic, and fusion productions. It suits hobby producers seeking authentic hand-drum textures in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic, adding organic rhythm to tracks without complex setup. At 180MB, it’s a focused, ready-to-play instrument for songwriters and beatmakers exploring global percussion sounds.
