Cataract 2 Upgrade from Version 1

Glitchmachines Cataract 2 turns samples into shifting rhythmic structures, fractured percussion and intricate glitch textures. Built for electronic music production and experimental sound design, this instrument scans segments from up to four audio files across two dual sample scanners, following your DAW’s clock rather than simply triggering fixed slice markers. Shape the results with filters, delay, modulation and sequencers, then blend the scanner outputs through the XMOD crossfade section for evolving transitions and complex interactions. A global parameter sequencer lets you step-sequence nearly every control, while the dedicated FX sequencer adds another layer of movement. Version 2 introduces a redesigned interface, an FX module and workflow refinements, alongside a curated factory sample bank and 100 presets. It suits producers who enjoy building unusual grooves, detailed sound effects and generative patterns. This upgrade requires an existing Cataract Version 1 license.
