Claire – Avant

Claire: Avant from Native Instruments is an experimental piano instrument that explores the hidden sonic potential of a grand piano. Recorded with the lid off and using unconventional techniques, it captures brushed textures, muted strings, plucked notes, flageolet harmonics, and metal mallets across nine articulations. With up to 13 velocity zones and three round robins, every note feels remarkably lifelike. The Particles engine adds shimmering, evolving textures, while over 40 Pattern Tool presets with randomization spark new ideas. Ideal for film scoring, experimental music, and ambient sound design, this library suits producers seeking evocative, left-field piano sounds. It integrates seamlessly with Kontrol S-Series keyboards for browsing and expressive performance. Created with Galaxy Instruments, the team behind Noire and Piano Colors, Claire: Avant transforms simple key presses into rich, evolving soundscapes.
