Colugo Blockhead v0.47.0 Alpha WiN/OSX/LiNUX

Colugo Blockhead v0.47.0 Alpha is an experimental standalone DAW for music production and sound design, rather than a VST instrument or effect. It is aimed at producers who want to explore a different way of working with audio, with block-based editing, unconventional interaction methods and a system that records your actions as you work.

This version introduces script blocks for custom audio processing in Lua, giving technically minded users a way to build their own processing routines. Block instances can also be converted between types through a general conversion feature. Other changes include a Blink plugin browser, improved multithreading, a clearer interface for project defaults and numerous bug fixes.

Blockhead remains an alpha-stage application, so expect an evolving workflow and unfinished areas. CLAP plugin support has been temporarily removed in this release; it is not currently a replacement for a DAW built around third-party plugins. Windows users looking for a separate creative workspace alongside FL Studio or Ableton may find it worth exploring. Alpha builds are also available for macOS and Linux.
