Dawesome Chop Suey

Dawesome Chop Suey is a kick drum design instrument built for producers who want a sharp attack, solid punch and a controlled low-end tail. Rather than stacking samples, it sequences the transient, body and tail, avoiding the phase clashes that can make layered kicks sound muddy. Visual curve editing lets you reshape individual sections without disturbing the rest of the sound, while an expanded view of the opening milliseconds helps with precise transient adjustments. Its purpose-built filter responds quickly to cutoff and resonance changes, and Punch Protect preserves frequencies below roughly 150 Hz when filtering. Developed in collaboration with techno artist Björn Torwellen, Chop Suey suits dance music producers looking to craft kicks that hit hard and fit their tracks. It offers a focused alternative to searching through sample folders or juggling multiple processing plugins.
