Decimort 2

Decimort 2 by D16 Group is a bitcrusher and sample rate reduction effect that brings vintage sampler character to modern productions. Inspired by the coloration of early Akai and E-MU hardware, it adds grain, weight and rough-edged texture to drum loops, basslines and other sounds. Keep the processing subtle for a sampled feel, or push it harder for dramatic digital degradation. Beyond bit depth and sampling frequency controls, Decimort 2 offers two optional filters for shaping aliasing and adjustable jitter that introduces random fluctuations in the resampling frequency. Its processing models the sampling path of AD/DA converters, retaining intentional sampler-style artifacts without unwanted internal aliasing. It suits hip-hop beatmakers, electronic producers and anyone who wants more control over lo-fi coloration than a basic bitcrusher provides.
