Devil-Loc Deluxe

Soundtoys Devil-Loc Deluxe is an aggressive compressor effect that turns drums, room mics and loops into gritty, oversized textures. Inspired by the vintage Shure Level-Loc limiter, it delivers heavy compression with a dirty edge rather than transparent dynamics control. Push it for pounding drum sounds and driven lo-fi loops, or blend in a little to give vocals and acoustic guitar extra bite. The Darkness control softens crunchy highs for a warmer tone, while selectable fast and slow release settings change how the compression responds. A front-panel Mix knob blends the processed and dry signals without extra routing, making it easy to keep the intensity in check. Suited to producers who want character, weight and deliberate sonic destruction, Devil-Loc Deluxe also includes the simpler, two-knob Devil-Loc.
