Disperser

Kilohearts Disperser is a phase-shaping effect that changes how transients unfold over time, offering an unusual alternative to conventional transient processing. By rotating phase rather than altering the signal’s gain, it redistributes sharp bursts of energy to reshape peaks and crest factor. Subtle settings can help sculpt a sound’s impact, while more extreme processing produces distinctive frequency sweeps and slippery, synthetic textures. Try it on kicks for extra boom, hi-hats for a snappier character, or bass lines for a wet, elastic feel. It suits producers who enjoy experimenting with drum tone, bass design and the shape of individual sounds. Disperser works as a regular VST/AU plugin and as a Kilohearts snapin inside Multipass or Snap Heap, where it can be combined with other effects for more elaborate processing chains.
