Sonic Charge Echobode is a delay effect that sends its repeats through a frequency shifter inside the feedback loop. Inspired by Harald Bode’s classic frequency-shifting design, it moves every frequency by a fixed amount rather than preserving the harmonic relationships of a conventional pitch shifter. The result can turn familiar sounds into inharmonic textures with a metallic, bell-like character. With frequency shifting woven into the delay feedback, successive echoes can take on increasingly unusual tonal shapes instead of simply repeating the original signal. Try it on percussion for ringing accents, on melodic parts for off-kilter echoes, or as a sound-design tool when a clean delay feels too predictable. Echobode suits hobby producers and experimental musicians who want to explore the space between rhythmic repetition and unconventional tone.
