EFEKTOR Whammo

Whammo by Kuassa is a pitch-shifter and pitch-bender effect plugin that delivers smooth, artifact-free pitch sweeps in both directions. Unlike many pedals that introduce crackles, grainy steps, or uneven shifts, Whammo maintains crisp pick attacks while letting you divebomb from rumbling lows to squealing highs. The range spans -3 to +2 octaves, and full MIDI assignability means you can control it with a foot controller for hands-free performance. It’s ideal for guitarists seeking whammy-style effects in their DAW, but also works on synths and other tracks. Chord shifts can produce musical flutter reminiscent of Radiohead’s “Iron Lung.” The straightforward single-screen interface has no hidden menus, and the resizable window keeps things user-friendly. Whether you’re crafting dramatic pitch dives or subtle bends, Whammo offers precise, reliable pitch manipulation for hobby producers and guitarists alike.
