Egoist

Sugar Bytes Egoist is a groove-building instrument that combines sample slicing, bass sequencing and drums in one creative workspace. Load a loop, a full song or material from the included 760MB library, then rearrange slices into fresh rhythmic patterns. Individual pitch, playback direction, envelope and volume controls help turn familiar audio into varied, characterful chops. Add classic-style bass lines with saw or pulse waveforms, then build a beat using sampled kicks, snares and hi-hats from 15 kits. Seven sequenced effects, including reverb, delay, lo-fi processing, tape stop and looping, let you create changes and accents on individual steps rather than treating every moment alike. With WAV, AIFF and MP3 import, Egoist suits hobby producers and beatmakers who want to flip samples, explore electronic grooves or sketch a track idea without assembling a separate sampler, bass instrument and drum machine.
