FabFilter Pro-DS

FabFilter Pro-DS is a de-esser plugin designed to tame sharp vocal sibilance without making a performance sound dull or overprocessed. Its Single Vocal detection mode targets distracting “s” sounds, helping keep vocals natural even when compression or saturation brings out unwanted bite. Switch to Allround mode to control high-frequency peaks in drums, other instruments, or full mixes. Choose wide-band processing or linear-phase split-band processing, then fine-tune the response with threshold, range, and detection filters. Optional look-ahead, adjustable stereo linking, and mid-only or side-only processing provide extra control for detailed mix work. The real-time de-essing display and built-in spectrum analyzer help you see what the processor is catching.
