Fables

Fables is a cinematic instrument library from Native Instruments that lets you weave evolving ensemble textures by blending and layering acoustic and synthetic sounds. Built around a three-layer engine, it combines string sections, female and male choirs, woodwind, tuned percussion, pads, low brass, French horn ensembles, and waterphone into rich, multi-dimensional soundscapes. Each instrument was performed by virtuosic musicians and captured with over 400 articulations, including expressive swells, tremolos, and stray harmonics. Polyphonic aftertouch gives you per-note control over volume, panning, filters, pitch, and modulation, so every note becomes its own expressive canvas. Recorded at Studios 301 in Sydney, Fables offers two microphone positions for true tonal control. It’s ideal for film, TV, and game composers, as well as electronic producers looking to add motion, magic, and mysticism to their tracks.
