Felt 54

Felt 54 is a sampled felt piano with a difference. Based on a modified 1975 Yamaha U3 upright, it uses a thin felt strip between hammers and strings and mutes two of three strings in the middle section to deliver a pure, intimate tone that still retains harmonic richness. Captured with three microphones for a naturally stereo image across 54 notes (G1–G6), it includes five velocity layers per root note, pedal up/down samples, and key release noise with infinite round robins. Shape your sound with three EQ knobs, room reverb, tape delay, and a dedicated Tape module for hiss, saturation, and flutter. Ideal for ambient textures, melancholic film scores, and lo-fi hip-hop when you push the tape settings. It suits hobby producers looking for a characterful, ready-to-play piano for FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
