FLUX BitterSweet v3 is a free transient-shaping effect for producers who want to adjust the attack of drums, percussion and other rhythmic material. Its main control moves between two treatments: Sweet softens transients, while Bitter emphasizes them. This makes it useful for taming sharp hits or bringing more definition to percussive parts without a complicated setup.

Beyond the central knob, Fast, Medium and Slow integration modes let you tailor the processing response. A separate Period setting adjusts the detection window, giving you further control over which transients are processed. Output gain offers ±12 dB of adjustment, with an optional link that compensates for changes in transient amount to help maintain unity gain.

For stereo work, Main mode processes the regular stereo signal, while Center and Stereo modes use internal mid/side encoding to treat the middle or sides independently. Main mode also supports multichannel processing with up to eight input and output channels. True bypass and Open Sound Control support round out the feature set.
