Forgotten Songs

Forgotten Songs is a Kontakt instrument built for unsettling, cinematic textures. Loot Audio took public-domain 1930s vinyl recordings and stretched, mangled, and processed them into evolving pads and choirs with a distinctly synthetic, Ligeti-inspired creep factor. Many patches build slowly over 10 to 20 seconds, and looped versions are included for sustained beds. Mod-wheel LFO, attack, and EQ controls let you shape constantly moving atmospheres, while a toggleable convolution reverb adds enormous depth. It suits horror and suspense scoring, ambient and chillout production, and any project needing eerie, organic motion. Requires the full version of Kontakt; it will not run in the free Kontakt Player. Ideal for hobby producers on FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want distinctive, unsettling pads without complex setup.
