Free Amp 3 is a Windows-only VST plugin that combines a multi-amp guitar simulator with a built-in guitar synth called Guitsyn. It offers seven amp types, each with its own EQ controls for easy comparison, plus six speaker cabinet options with adjustable mic placement. The plugin includes a noise gate, two compressors (pre and post amp), tremolo and delay with host sync and tap tempo, and a choice of seven overdrive pedal types. Modulation effects include chorus with filter, flanger, and phase shifter, along with wah that can be controlled via MIDI CC or auto features. A separate MIDI volume control can be placed before or after the amp.
