Fuse Audio Labs VREV-666 is a free spring reverb plugin modeled on a rare 1960s unit originally developed for the BBC. Instead of recreating a natural room, it brings the lively movement, resonant coloration and slightly unruly decay associated with mechanical springs. It suits hobby producers who want characterful ambience for vocals, synths, guitars and bass without relying on a conventional room or hall reverb.

The plugin expands on the hardware’s simple effect-gain control with a mix stage, up to 150 ms of pre-delay and a tone EQ for reducing the spring system’s strong low-frequency resonance. A limiter modeled around a light bulb controls peaks that could otherwise produce chirping overloads in the spring tank.

Use VREV-666 when a part needs a rougher sense of space or a distinctive vintage texture. On Windows, it supports 32-bit and 64-bit operation in VST2, VST3 and AAX hosts, making it suitable for compatible versions of FL Studio and Ableton Live. Windows 7 or newer and 2 GB of RAM are required.
