Gowans Audio GowansFilters is a high-pass and low-pass filter plugin for producers who want to tidy up recordings or shape sounds with cutoff automation. Available for Windows in VST3 and AAX formats, it suits hobby producers and mixing engineers working in compatible DAWs such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.

Use it to reduce unwanted low-frequency rumble and trim excessive high-end hiss, helping individual tracks sit more comfortably in a mix. Its two modes offer different approaches to filtering. Vintage mode combines captured analog character from a well-known 1980s large-format mixing console with filter slopes and frequency choices matching that desk. Modern mode provides a wider frequency range and additional slope options, making it useful for both corrective work and creative filter sweeps.

Developed by Australian engineer/producer Angus Woodhead and software designer/engineer Nathan Isherwood, GowansFilters focuses on everyday filtering with a choice of vintage coloration or more flexible modern settings. The demo has no time limit, but its settings are not retained after closing your DAW.
