Guitar Pro 8.1.2.37

Guitar Pro 8.1.2.37 is a Windows tablature and notation editor for guitarists, bassists, songwriters, teachers and producers who want to develop musical ideas on a score. Beyond guitar tabs, it supports writing for drums, piano, ukulele and other instruments, with transposition tools for adapting parts between instruments.

For practice and transcription, you can import an audio file, align it with your notation and rehearse alongside a song or backing track. Relative playback speed, a fixed-tempo option and a visual metronome help you work through difficult passages. Track focus controls let you bring a selected part forward or lower it against the rest of the arrangement.

Detailed editing includes note duration, timing offset and relative velocity, plus individual volume and pan settings for drum kit elements. Chord references, scale diagrams, nested tuplets, piano fingering and sustain-pedal markings support both straightforward arrangements and more involved scores. A command palette speeds up notation tasks, while layout and font controls help prepare readable material for students or bandmates. This is a dedicated score-editing application rather than a VST instrument or effect.
