GUITARS: Solar Cycle

GUITARS: Solar Cycle by KLANG turns a fascination with saturated guitar echoes into a playable instrument with a wavy, organic character. Its concept grew from experiments with a Korg Stage Echo: the team wanted to take a single echo repetition and make it an instrument in its own right. The result approaches guitar from a different angle, focusing on heavily saturated tone and a stuttering feel rather than a conventional guitar performance. Use it to bring an offbeat guitar texture to a composition or explore musical ideas built around the character of an echo. Solar Cycle suits producers and composers who enjoy guitar-derived sounds but want something less traditional, with warmth, movement and an experimental edge.
